Amy Van Haveren
APC
Hello! My name is Amy, and I look forward to getting to know you so that together we can find peace and clarity in the midst of whatever challenge has brought you here. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with adults navigating a wide range of personal, relational, family, workplace, and healthcare-related concerns.
I believe that everyone is a leader in some capacity, whether in their workplace, home, relationships, or community, regardless of whether they formally lead others professionally. Whether you are balancing career responsibilities, caring for a family, serving others, or managing all of the above, burnout is real, and relationships and boundaries can become difficult to navigate. I enjoy helping clients strengthen key relationships, establish healthier boundaries, and regain a sense of balance both personally and professionally.
I have worked with many mothers navigating identity shifts after becoming parents and returning to work, parents seeking guidance and support for children with learning differences, families facing difficult decisions regarding aging parents and caregiving responsibilities, and young adults struggling with issues including identity and discovering and navigating career paths. I have also worked within the medical field, primarily on the business and administrative side, supporting and collaborating with healthcare professionals in both private practice and hospital environments.
Having served on staff at Mount Pisgah Church, I also understand the unique pressures and challenges that can come with ministry life. I enjoy encouraging and supporting church leaders as they renew confidence, clarify goals, and lean more fully into their purpose and calling.
I have been married for 24 years and am the mother of three children ranging from teenagers to young adults. My faith and family are foundational to my life, and I understand that seasons of transition can often bring struggles related to both. I see my work at Path to Change as an opportunity to meet you where you are, walk alongside you with compassion and encouragement, and help you move toward healing, growth, and the life you hope to build.
I am an Associate Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. I am under the supervision of Heather Cobb, LPC, CPCS.
