Ann-Marie Catron
License Eligible
Ann-Marie works with adults and couples who feel overwhelmed, emotionally weighed down, or caught in patterns that feel difficult to change. Many of the clients she works with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet still find themselves struggling with anxiety, stress, life transitions, grief and other forms of loss, as well as challenges in relationships and communication. Some of what they’ve been through, including deeply painful experiences, still shapes how they feel and respond and can even affect their sense of faith or meaning. Often, they offer patience and compassion to others yet struggle to extend that same care to themselves.
Her approach is relational and experiential. She helps clients understand how emotional responses and relational patterns shape their experiences. Together, they slow things down, paying attention to thoughts, emotions, and the body to create space for meaningful change.
She views this work as sacred, honoring each client’s story and the courage it takes to engage in change. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), an attachment-based approach, and incorporates Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping) to support emotional processing. She is also a PREPARE/ENRICH Certified Facilitator and works with couples to strengthen communication and navigate conflict.
Ann-Marie earned her master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and is a licensed eligible counselor under the supervision of Heather Cobb, LPC, CPCS.
Outside of her work, Ann-Marie enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with family, especially her husband and college-age triplets, friends, and her two dogs.
