Casey Shoppy
APC
Casey has served in a variety of ministry and counseling settings, walking alongside adolescents, teens, and adults as they navigate healing, growth, and change. Her work is especially geared toward women who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, OCD, grief, and perfectionism, offering a compassionate and grounded space to process and move forward. Casey’s Christian faith is a foundational part of her life and work as a counselor. However, she loves to work with people of all different faith backgrounds and believes in creating a nonjudgmental space where the client can feel seen, known, and heard.
Casey takes a trauma-informed approach and is Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which helps clients explore the different “parts” of themselves that may carry pain, fear, shame, or protective patterns shaped by past experiences. She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based method that uses eye movements and guided imagery to help the brain reprocess distressing memories, so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity.
Casey earned her master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. She is an Associate Professional Counselor under the supervision of Heather Cobb.
In her free time, Casey enjoys running outdoors, baking, traveling with her husband, and spending time with family and friends.
